Know for Sure What’s Best for You

“Your hunch is trying to tell you something.”
How many times have you said to yourself, “I knew I should have done that” or “Why didn’t I listen to myself?” Your intuition was talking to you, and you ignored it. Often your intuition gets dismissed because it tells you something that doesn’t fit with your logical or habitual way of thinking.
Trust yourself. Your intuition is very powerful. It will lead you down the best possible path for you, if you let it. The next time you have a hunch about a certain idea to pursue, a decision to make or a person to contact, do it.
When you trust your intuition, you live with no regrets.

“It is impossible to listen when you’re talking.”

The ability to keep quiet is one of the keys to successfully listening, both in daily life and when seeking communication from within.Unfortunately, inner quiet is unusual for most of us. Even when alone, we talk to ourselves: we hear the sounds of our own thoughts, remember musical melodies, and so on.

We become easily distracted by random memories, noises and other intrusions. When you learn to listen, it becomes easier to relax. Your mind clears more quickly and attentiveness to environment is enhanced. As you allow yourself to listen, thoughts become less random and more controllable – and, most important, you hear plainly what’s going on inside.

Peace of Mind is Closer Than You Think

Peace of Mind is Closer Than You Think
by Jane Powell on October 8, 2011

“Peace of mind comes when you appreciate what you have, instead of focus on what’s missing.”
As we grow up, we start to obsess that our families, partners, homes, cars and jobs need fixing. It’s true that some tweaking here and there may be in order; but this kind of focus may make you dwell on what is missing in your life. “If only I had . . .” It’s this internal dialogue that makes peace of mind elusive.
Only when you feel thankful for something, can you become more fulfilled and peaceful. Accept what you have and where you are with gratitude. Feel thankful and you will feel more peaceful.

“Women with high self-esteem feel terrific about themselves.”

Most Influential Part of Your Personality
by Jane Powell on September 1, 2011

“Women with high self-esteem feel terrific about themselves.”Your self-esteem is probably the most important part of your personality. It dictates your performance in almost everything you do. The amount of self-esteem you have determines your levels of vitality, enthusiasm and attraction.
To be your best and to feel amazing, you should always be in a state of self-esteem building and maintenance. Just as you take responsibility for your level of physical fitness, you need to take responsibility for your self-esteem.
Self-esteem building is not easy. It takes effort and perseverance, but, if you’re willing to make the effort, you’ll be rewarded with a gracious life.

Don’t Let This Steal Your Dreams

Don’t Let This Steal Your Dreams
by Jane Powell on August 30, 2011

“Discouragement steals your dreams.”
Hand in hand with setbacks and challenges comes discouragement. Its ferocity can stop you in your tracks and before you know it your dreams seem unreachable. Stop! This is only true if you give in.
Today is the day you will conquer discouragement. Today is the day you will feel more determined and stronger than ever. Today is the day you will put one foot in front of the other and persevere.
Make a commitment to yourself that you will never give up when you feel disheartened, but rather, you will view these feelings as a sign to work harder.
You’re entitled to your dreams and aspirations. So why not make this commitment today?
